It is ideal for those working in a variety of health and social care environments such as care homes.

Course Overview

Over a 2 day period, learners will develop the knowledge and skills relevant to manual handling of objects and the safe moving and handling of people. Topics covered include: common handling injuries, the potential impact on a person if moved incorrectly, personal handling plans, preserving dignity, health and safety when moving a person and using equipment.

Assessment Methods

  • 6 x Practical assessments
  • 2 x 15 Multiple Choice Question paper (Theory assessment).
